Unlike the ENVIRO GO and the two cabin stations, there is at present no product description with substantiated figures for ENVIRO AIR. The details here come from the previous website; they are confirmed neither by a measurement nor by a data sheet.

As long as that is the case, we state no detection limits, no masses and no flight times here. If you need dependable figures for a tender, ask us — then we will establish what the instrument actually achieves in your task.

What for

Measuring across an area instead of at one point

A fixed instrument answers the question at its own location. ENVIRO AIR is meant for the other question: where something is and how far it reaches.

Construction

One carrier, one detector, one multichannel analyser

Carrier Drone, vehicle or fixed point The same measuring payload can be slung under a drone, placed in a vehicle or mounted permanently at a site. Which carrier is a candidate depends on mass and power supply — both to be established case by case.
Detector Freely chosen, not prescribed Scintillators such as NaI(Tl), CsI(Tl), LaBr₃ and CeBr₃, or alternatively a semiconductor detector up to high-purity germanium. Which one fits is decided by the task: resolution against response, cooling against readiness for use.
Evaluation Multichannel analyser on board The measurement parameters are adjustable, and the spectrum is recorded in full and not cut down to a single count.
Data Transmission while the measurement runs Ethernet and RS485 as interfaces, remote access to all measurement parameters, output of raw data and spectra in common formats. The measurement interval and the trigger logic are adjustable, and a connection to a mapping system is provided for.

Where we draw the line

What ENVIRO AIR is not

Flying over an area and drawing in air are two different tasks. ENVIRO AIR measures the gamma radiation from its surroundings — it collects neither aerosols nor gaseous iodine. If you need the activity concentration of the air in Bq/m³, you need an instrument with a filter.
